Bourne to Be the Ultimate Action Movie

If not for Ratatouille, I would’ve named “The Bourne Ultimatum” the best movie of the year so far. Yeah, you may say that it’s pretty hard to compare apples to oranges, but “Ultimatum” still lacks the hype I had from the animated movie. Other than Ratatouille, “Ultimatum”, needless to say, is worth the wait (I missed the Advanced Screenings of both from Greenbelt 3 and Glorietta 4).
What I liked most with “Ultimatum” is the story, cinematography (the crystal-meth style of camera movement paid off!), and the consistency of the characters from “Supremacy”, run by characters Pamela Landy (played by Joan Allen), and the ever-cute but mysterious Nicky Parsons (played by Julia Stiles). I’ll be repeating other reviews if I say the latest installment of the Bourne series is thought-provoking, and is an amplified version of the combined prequels (with acting prowess from the lead stars). The lead character Jason Bourne, went closer to his element, by being this smart agent (that came out wrong… the description sounded like a detergent chemical), who never ran out of adrenaline. And for those who’ve been used to soft porn in action movies, you will be disappointed. There are lots of key scenes here, and zero dull moments.
For those who want to watch this movie, I suggest running to your nearest video rental shop (if they still exist) first, and grabbing the first two parts of this espionage saga. I almost watched “Ultimatum” without seeing “Supremacy”. Not watching the second part would just take the pepper out of the dish (I’m sounding like Remy again), meaning every scene won’t be emphasized if you just watch “Ultimatum” standalone.
